About BurlBlade
BurlBlade is a South African urban timber salvage and specimen archive operated by Marius Lamprecht, Gauteng, South Africa. We source, document, and sell unique wood specimens recovered from urban tree removals.

By accessing or using burlblade.co.za you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Products and Availability
Every BurlBlade specimen is a unique, one-of-a-kind natural material. Exact item shown in product photographs is the item sold. Once sold, a specimen cannot be restocked or replaced. All dimensions, weights, and descriptions are recorded to the best of our ability but natural material may vary slightly.
Orders and Payment
Orders are processed through WooCommerce. Payment is handled securely via PayFast, a South African payment gateway. BurlBlade does not store card or banking details. All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable.
Shipping
BurlBlade ships within South Africa only. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are displayed at checkout. Risk of loss passes to the buyer upon handover to the courier.
Returns and Refunds
Due to the unique and natural nature of our specimens, we do not accept returns based on grain pattern, colour variation, or natural characteristics visible in product photographs. If an item arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours of delivery at orders@burlblade.co.za with photographs. We will assess each case and respond within 3 business days.
Provenance Certificates
Each specimen ships with a BurlBlade Provenance Certificate documenting its recovery location, species, seasoning period, and measurements. This certificate is issued by BurlBlade and represents our internal documentation standard. It is not a third-party graded or certified document.
Intellectual Property
All content on burlblade.co.za — including photographs, specimen records, provenance documentation, and written descriptions — is the property of BurlBlade. The Provenance Method is a named BurlBlade system. Content may not be reproduced, copied, or distributed without written permission.
Limitation of Liability
BurlBlade is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or website. Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the item in question.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
