Refund & Returns Policy

BurlBlade sells unique salvaged wood specimens. Each listing represents the exact physical piece shown in the photographs. Once purchased, that specimen is removed from inventory and cannot be purchased again.

This policy explains how returns and refunds are handled for these one-of-a-kind pieces.


Nature of the Material

Wood is a natural material. Every specimen contains its own character, which may include grain variation, knots, spalting, natural cracks, figure, bark inclusions, or irregular edges.

These features are part of the natural structure of the wood and are not considered defects. Each specimen is photographed individually so you can see the exact piece before purchasing.

Please review all photos and descriptions carefully before placing an order.


Return Window

If there is an issue with your order, you must contact us within 7 days of delivery to request a return or refund.

Requests made after this period may not be eligible for return.


Eligible Returns

Returns or refunds may be approved in the following situations:

  • The item arrived damaged during shipping
  • You received the wrong item

If this happens, please contact us and include photos of the item and packaging so we can investigate the issue.


Non-Returnable Situations

Returns will generally not be accepted for reasons related to the natural characteristics of wood, including:

  • Natural grain variation
  • Knots, figure, or spalting
  • Natural cracks or checks visible in the photographs
  • Irregular shape or bark inclusions
  • Differences in color due to lighting or screens

These are part of the natural structure of the specimen and are documented through the listing photographs.


Return Shipping

If a return is approved, the customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping.

We recommend using a trackable shipping service and appropriate packaging to ensure the specimen arrives safely.


Refunds

Once the returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the refund status.

If approved, the refund will be issued to the original payment method used at checkout.

Please allow several business days for the refund to appear depending on your bank or payment provider.
