Hollow Wood Cookie Slab – Crescent Void Form (GS2602008)
GS2602008 is a cross-sectional slice with a pronounced crescent form wrapped around a continuous internal void — the grain reads densest hugging that cavity, loosening in stages out toward the crescent’s outer curve. Dense knot clusters run through the piece, with a touch of fine surface checking as well. The bark’s still on, though it’s begun to lift slightly in one or two spots. Recovered from Edenvale, Gauteng, 3 February 2026. Field seasoned, MC confirmed at 10–12% on a pin meter reading taken on a sanded surface, 1 March 2026. One piece. Exact item shown.
